Deviled Crab Dip & Pepper Oil-Fried Wontons

Let's start with our first mouthwatering creation — Deviled Crab Dip & Pepper Oil-Fried Wontons. Ingredients

  • 1 pound of special crab or jumbo lump crab
  • ½ jar of Papa Canzonetta’s Peppers Original Flavor (Save ¼ cup of oil to fry wontons)
  • 8 oz of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • ¼ cup of chopped chives
  • ½ cup of mayo
  • 2 tbsp of lemon zest
  • A pinch of Kosher salt and ground white pepper to taste
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper

Fried Wontons

  • Wonton squares

  • 2 cups of vegetable oil to ¼ cup oil from Papa Canzonetta’s Peppers Original Flavor

Instructions

  1. Fold dip ingredients together gently
  2. Refrigerate for one hour before serving

Fried Wontons

  1. Cut wontons diagonally into triangles

  2. Using the vegetable oil and the hot pepper oil, set the deep fryer to 350 degrees

  3. Fry the wonton triangles (It only takes a few seconds for them to fry!)

  4. Optional: garnish the dip with chives

  5. Serve the dip with the fried wontons for scooping

  6. Be amazed!

Papa's Cheesecake

Papa's Cheesecake is a sweet, spicy, and savory dessert that will leave your taste buds begging for more. Our secret ingredient? Papa’s Canzonetta's Original Flavor Italian Style Peppers in Oil. This cheesecake is a perfect balance of sweetness and heat, thanks to the zesty peppers infused in every bite. Pair it with a pretzel crust for a delightful crunch, and top it off with a dollop of Crème Fraiche for an extra touch of luxury. This cheesecake is a true masterpiece that will elevate any meal to a gourmet experience.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp of flour
  • 1 cup of shredded Gruyere cheese
  • Drain 1 jar of Papa’s Canzonetta’s Original Flavor Italian Style Peppers in Oil (keep the oil separate)
  • 2 and ½ cups of softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 Tsp of vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup of granulated sugar

Pretzel Crust

  • 2 cups of crushed pretzels
  • 1 stick of melted butter

Optional Topping: Crème Fraiche

  • 2 cups of sour cream

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

  • Pinch of white pepper

  • Pinch of salt

  • Blend the ingredients with a whisk until smooth

Instructions

  1. Pretzel Crust: Combine pretzels and melted butter. Line the pan with the mixture and create a crust around the edges. Pre-bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  2. Cheesecake: Use a stand mixer to incorporate all ingredients until the mixture is smooth. Cook for 45 minutes at 350 degrees in a water bath in a springform pan with tin foil wrapped around the base and the inside of the pan.
  3. Optional: Top with crème fraiche. Garnish with pepper oil, diced red pepper, fresh rosemary and Kalamata olives.

Papa's Popcorn Balls

Papa's Popcorn Balls are a sweet and spicy autumn treat that will warm your soul with each bite. Picture fluffy marshmallows, butter, and a hint of heat from our Original Flavor Peppers in Oil, all mixed into a bowl of freshly popped popcorn. Formed into delightful balls and ready to be enjoyed, these treats are perfect for sharing with loved ones or indulging in a cozy movie night. Get ready to experience the perfect balance of sweet and heat in every delicious bite.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz of marshmallows (regular sized)

  • 5 tbsp of salted butter

  • 3 tbsp of oil from a jar of Papa Canzonetta's Original Flavor Italian Style Peppers in Oil

  • 1 and ½ cups of unpopped popcorn

  • ½ tsp of butter flavoring

Instructions

  1. Clean and sanitize a double sink or prepare two large mixing bowls

  2. Use an air popper to pop all of the popcorn

  3. Create the marshmallow mix by microwaving the marshmallows, butter, hot pepper oil, and butter flavoring for 3 minutes. Stir in between each minute.

  4. Stir the marshmallow mix to ensure an even consistency

  5. Put all the popped popcorn into a butter-greased sink or large mixing bowl, and butter your hands too (This can get sticky!)

  6. Fold the marshmallow mixture into the popcorn. Form the balls quickly and place them into sandwich bags

Tips

Team Up

Making popcorn balls can be messy for just one person. If a family member or friend can help, recruit them! While forming the balls quickly, have your teammate ready to place the balls into sandwich bags.

Find Your Perfect Spice Level

You'll need 8 tbsp of oils total. We use 5 tbsp of butter + 3 tbsp of oil from a jar of Papa's Original Flavor Peppers. Try more butter and less pepper oil for a milder heat, or use more pepper oil and less butter for even more heat. You can also try using oil from Papa's Mild flavor peppers or Hot flavor peppers.
